WHO WE ARE

ABOUT US

Maxfel aspires to be a leading provider of turnkey steel, rubber lining and corrosion protection services to the mining and construction industries.

Short History

Maxgil Engineering was established in 1997 to provide quality general steel engineering services to the Rustenburg mining community. The company established itself as a fully-equipped fabrication workshop, and later added rubber lining to the services it offered. Maxgil also offered general mining supplies. The company successfully completed a range of steel fabrication projects of varying sizes and nature. Projects completed varied from R200k to R45m in value.

Maxgil also held several repair and maintenance contracts on floatation cells, general steelwork and corrosion protection with most of the major platinum mining groups in the Rustenburg area. Maxgil was the sole supplier of Specflex ’99, a revolutionary rubber product which simply outlasted its competitors. The specially formulated rubber compound, commonly known as ‘Yellow Rubber’ was engineered to last longer and bond firmer than other rubber products. The company was also the primary rubber lining contract holder with Anglo Platinum in the Rustenburg Area, Northern Regions and Bushveld.

Joint Venture

Maxfel Group and its divisions bring together the collective experience of the two former companies, with their rich history and joint track record of over 20 years experience in the industry. Founded on and true to those very core principles that were so vital in the success of both former companies, Maxfel aims to continue providing world class services to the mining and construction industries.

The group has a strong focus on partnering with its clients. Maxfel forges mutually beneficial relationships which seek to improve efficiencies, thereby reducing costs and ultimately resulting in the optimal growth of each business.
